Last weekend was a confirming weekend for me. Participating in the East African Summit Friday and Saturday and then attending the GICF Banquet got me really anxious to get there. The pictures of the sweet children at the orphanage just melt my heart. I want to hug each and everyone of them and I am hoping to learn each of their names before I get there.
The banquet was wonderful and 20 of my friends and family attended. My daughters are feeling better about me going as they can see the need and also what a great group the Grace International Children's Foundation is. I was deeply touched that the board had me come up on stage with my daughters and grandchildren and then they prayed over me. I was very humbled and grateful.
The board meeting Sunday was very informative as I found out the Ugandan government changed our floor plan including my entrance into my apartment. The big topic of conversation was how to care for and educate the children into and past secondary school. That will be coming fast for some of the children.
If you haven't ever sponsored a child please consider going to the GICF website and doing so. We have big plans for these children and more to come in the future and you can be part of raising a future leader of Uganda.
Blessings,
Dyana
