Home Sweet Home

Greetings from Sara...

I spoke to Dyana this morning; she was happy and in good spirits. She gets sad thinking of home but keeps herself busy at the orphanage. She is getting settled in her living quarters, to her surprise it is much larger than she anticipated. Today she went into the city to get a few more items to make it feel more like “home”. She has also lost 10 pounds on her new diet of rice and bananas!

Before my mom left I told her she should buy and take along a pair of Crocs Shoes. Lightweight, easy to clean and comfortable! She wasn’t too crazy about the idea but we found some on clearance for $12 so she reluctantly bought them. She told me today that she LOVES them – perfect for her current situation. I am going to write the Crocs company and see if they could donate or give a deep discount for crocs for the 90 orphans. My girls can wear theirs for almost 2 years before outgrowing them and then they get passed down to someone else. I think these would be PERFECT shoes for the orphans!!! I will keep you posted…

Internet continues to be limited. She is using the administrators computer when access is available. Next month she is going to try to get her own service hooked up.

Please keep Dyana’s step-father (Wayne Cole) in your prayers. He has been ill the past month and last week had to another cardiac stint put in. He is home now and feeling better.
